CONTACT RJKC
The Refaluwasch Journal of Knowledge and Culture (RJKC) has established one institutional correspondence address, published below as RJKC General Correspondence. Other institutional communication channels are still being established.
Correspondence may be sent to that address. This website publishes no contact form.
We look forward to future inquiries concerning research collaboration, cultural preservation, scholarly contributions, community engagement, and responsible stewardship of Indigenous knowledge.
Reasons to get in touch
- Offering material to the archive, or asking what is appropriate to offer.
- Correcting or clarifying attribution, description, or provenance.
- Raising a concern about how something is described, used, or released.
- Asking about research collaboration, teaching, or community programmes.
- Requesting greater restriction or review of material.
RJKC welcomes general inquiries, research collaboration inquiries, and correspondence concerning its developing scholarly and cultural mission. The journal and digital archive are not yet accepting formal manuscript submissions or cultural deposits. Sending materials to the general correspondence address does not constitute a formal submission, acceptance for review, archival deposit, or authorization for publication. Submission procedures will be announced when the relevant programmes become operational.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Refaluwasch Journal of Knowledge and Culture?
RJKC is an Indigenous-led scholarly and cultural initiative dedicated to research, documentation, cultural preservation, and the responsible stewardship of Indigenous knowledge. Its formal institutional and legal framework is currently in development. The journal, digital cultural archive, research, and educational programmes described on this website are planned but not yet operational, and no collections, deposits, or payment facilities exist at this time. The About section describes the institution and the principles that govern its work.
Has RJKC been legally formed?
Not yet. No Oregon entity has been formed to date; the structure and timing of formation remain open institutional decisions, and no registration number or entity details can be stated. The institutional information section below records the same position alongside the other institutional facts.
Who is the Founder of RJKC?
Gregorie Michael Towai (Eipéráng) is the Founder of the Refaluwasch Journal of Knowledge and Culture (RJKC). The Founder page carries the institutional position in full, including the institution's implementation status.
Is RJKC part of another organization, or does it speak for the community?
Islander Connect and the Refaluwasch Journal of Knowledge and Culture are separate institutions with distinct missions — a Pacific Islander community marketplace, and an Indigenous-led scholarly and cultural institution. They share a founding history: both were co-founded by Gregorie Michael Towai (Eipéráng) and Nathan Roppul. At RJKC, Eipéráng is Founder and Roppul is Co-Founder and Founding Technical Advisor. At Islander Connect, Roppul is Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Eipéráng is Co-Founder and Impact Advisor.
They nevertheless share no legal ownership, governance, editorial control, or institutional identity. Neither institution is a founder, owner, sponsor, or governing partner of the other. No agreement between them has been executed, and contractual matters between them remain under discussion and are not described here.
RJKC claims no community-wide representative mandate: its development does not supersede the cultural authority of families, lineages, traditional knowledge holders, and communities.
Can I send cultural material, photographs, or oral histories to RJKC?
Not at present. RJKC's digital archive remains under development, and no formal process for submitting or depositing cultural materials has been established. Future submissions will be subject to documented provenance, appropriate permissions, differentiated access controls, and the cultural authority of relevant knowledge holders.
Please do not send photographs, oral histories, restricted cultural knowledge, or other culturally sensitive materials through the general correspondence email address. Receipt of unsolicited material does not constitute acceptance into an RJKC collection, authorization to preserve or use it, or permission to reproduce, describe, disclose, or publish it.
The Digital Archive section explains the principles that will govern cultural records when an authorized submission process becomes available.
How do I contact RJKC, or ask for a correction?
General inquiries, questions, concerns, and requests for corrections may be directed to RJKC General Correspondence at rjkc.contact@gmail.com.
This address is intended for institutional correspondence, including requests to clarify or correct information, attribution, descriptions, or provenance. It is not an authorized channel for submitting cultural collections or restricted knowledge.
Messages are sent through the visitor's own email application. This website does not operate a contact form or accept submissions directly.

Privacy
This website is a static informational site: it publishes text, one stylesheet and one image. It has no accounts and no sign-in, no contact form, no cookies set by RJKC, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking scripts and no embedded third-party content. RJKC does not operate visitor registration, behavioural tracking or advertising analytics on this website.
Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider, which processes technical information in the course of serving and protecting it — such as your IP address, the pages requested, and security and diagnostic logs. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., through its Cloudflare Pages service. Cloudflare states that when visitors access a website it serves, it processes information that may include IP addresses, traffic routing data and system configuration information; that it acts as a data processor for the logs it makes available to its customers and for content stored on its network; and that it serves websites from a global network, so this processing may take place outside your own country. RJKC does not receive visitor access logs from Cloudflare, has not enabled Cloudflare's web analytics, and sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare determines how long it retains technical data, under its own privacy policy.
Correspondence may be sent to RJKC General Correspondence at rjkc.contact@gmail.com. That mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail) and is subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policy; RJKC does not control how Google stores or processes email. When you write to that address, RJKC receives your email address, the contents of your message, and anything you attach or include. Access to this mailbox is currently limited to RJKC's founder, who is the only person authorized by RJKC to access and review it. That limitation concerns access by people; it does not exclude technical processing by Google as the email provider.
Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep an accurate record of the correspondence, and are deleted when they are no longer needed for that purpose. This describes ordinary correspondence only. It is not an archival or custody procedure, and it does not place anything sent to this address into an RJKC collection. You may request deletion of correspondence submitted to RJKC by contacting rjkc.contact@gmail.com. Requests will be reviewed and addressed within a reasonable period, subject to applicable legal obligations, legitimate recordkeeping requirements, and technical limitations. RJKC cannot guarantee deletion of copies retained by third-party email providers or other recipients.
Ordinary email is not a confidential channel. It is not end-to-end encrypted, it passes through systems RJKC does not control, and it may be stored on servers in other countries. Please do not send confidential, sensitive or culturally restricted information by email. RJKC does not accept cultural material, photographs, oral histories or archival donations through this address; the Digital Archive section explains the access principles that will govern records when the archive opens. Receipt of unsolicited material does not constitute permission to use, disclose, or publish it.
This statement describes what this website and this correspondence address do. It is not a claim that no information is ever processed: the hosting provider processes technical information in order to serve the site, and the mail provider processes messages in transit and at rest, as described above. RJKC does not sell correspondence, does not share it for third-party marketing, and does not use sender information for unsolicited marketing. Any future change to these practices will require a separate Founder decision and appropriate privacy disclosure.
